I was recently diagnosed with bipolar depression and generalized anxiety disorder. My doctor says the onset of my depression began 20 years ago – a long time to go untreated! I also have a chronic pain disease, recently lost both my parents, struggled with infertility for five years, and our family crawled though EIGHT layoffs.
Rather than knock me down, this inspired me to take the reins. This year, I launched my marketing consulting service, and things have never been better. I am truly cherishing the time I spend with my 7-year-old and husband by working from home.
I have also been taking charge of my mental disorder by applying the positives in my business. Life is what you make of it; either feel sorry for yourself and the cards you’ve been dealt, or use them to your advantage. One thing is for sure: the choice is always yours.
